Jane Austen Essay Assignment

Now, having read the book, discussed it at length, and thought about it, it’s time to write a paper.

For your topic, you must choose one of the class topics that you did NOT participate in the discussion for.

The prompt is:

What idea or point (not cliché or moral) is Austen making about that topic? How (i.e., through what literary means at her disposal – characterization, point of view, tone, events) does she make that point?

I expect a crafted, interesting introduction; a strong, well put together thesis; a well organized and supported body (watch those topic sentences!); and a thoughtful conclusion that explains why this view of Austen’s is important. 3-5 pages, please!
